Springfield:

  • A remote, rural area in the southeastern corner of Colorado, originally developed as a cattle ranching and farming community. Springfield is approximately 1,500 miles from either coast, 30 miles from Kansas, 30 miles from Oklahoma, and about halfway between Denver, CO and Amarillo, TX.

  • There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature in Springfield. You can enjoy bird watching on five of the fourteen trails that make up the Colorado Birding Trail, take advantage of hunting and fishing and camping from Carizzo Canyon, Witcher Ranch, Turks Pond or Two Buttes Reservoir, or enjoy the "Rock Art" at Picture Canyon which is on the Colorado/Oklahoma border.

  • Springfield also has a newly renovated and upgraded movie theater, 9 hole golf course and indoor/seasonal outdoor pools available.
